Going to the Doctor
Today was Jack's two-month appointment with Dr. Kroeze. This was exciting, since his last appointment was over a month ago...we were really curious about how much he would weigh. He's definitely been sporting some major jowls as of late. However, we were nervous about the needles. :-( Jack is 23 inches long, which puts him in the 50th percentile for his age. He weighs in at 13 pounds, 2 ounces, which is in the 75th percentile. :-) He was a brave little man, and he only cried for a short time after the shots (three of them). The same could be said for his mommy.

Getting Dry
Jack is starting not to hate the bathtub so much! This is good (if not for general hygeine, then for his future dating prospects). Here he is, getting dried off.

Graafschap Church/Coffee @ Grandma & Kenni's
It was interesting taking Jack to church for the first time. We didn't want to be too disruptive to the service, so we sat in the narthex area behind the windows. He really behaved himself quite well.

After Sunday morning church, we usually head over to Dave's grandma and Aunt Kenni's house for coffee and treats with the extended family. It was fun to pass Jack around the table! :-)

Valentine's Day/Jack Meets the Tri-Lambdas
On Valentine's Day, the Tri-Lambda's had a get-together at Nate and Melissa's house. We couldn't believe how many babies/small children were there! The adults were nearly outnumbered. Afterwards, Dave's mom and dad graciously babysat Jack while Dave and I had our first nice dinner out by ourselves in a loooong time. It was wonderful. :-)
Jack LOVED it when Tim held him. Truly a pro!
First Trip to Bob's
In the interest of full disclosure, you should know that Dave and I are not very cool. Ever since we got married, we've gone to bed by 10:00 PM, enjoyed board games, and made a habit of visiting Bob Evans on Saturday mornings. We like ordering bland breakfast foods and socializing with people our grandparents' age. So you can understand why it was a big deal to take Jack there for the first time. All the waitresses cooed and drooled over him. Dave had sausage biscuits and I had oatmeal. Jack had the usual. :-)
Jack Meets The Choral Scholars
Dave brought Jack over to Karel's house during TCS rehearsal. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening--everyone except Jack, that is. He screamed his head off the whole time. Oh well...he's still super cute. :-)
