Fun Times with Sock Monkey

Our dear friend Denise made a sock monkey for Jack for Christmas. He loves it.

First Haircut - Part I

We decided that Jack was getting a little shaggy on top, so we took him to see our favorite stylist, Annie.

He is trying as hard as he can to see what's going on behind him!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

One Saturday morning, Mommy decided to make homemade chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream. Jack thought they were delightful. As we look back on these pictures, we can see clearly that Jack was starting to come down with something. We didn't realize it at the time, but the next day, he had a terrible case of the stomach flu. Which he generously shared with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa. :-(

Our Little Bookworm

Jack absolutely loves his board books. He goes over to his little library, chooses one, brings it over to the reading chair, and then sits patiently in Mommy or Daddy's lap while we read. He even flips the pages for us!

Pi Day!

March 14, 2010
For Pi Day this year, the variety was apple. And for the record, it was scruptious.

Goodbye, McDonald's

Our McDonald's on 8th St. is a wonderful place. The people know us by name and they love to see Jack. Just recently, we saw signs at the drive-thru saying the the building was going to be completely razed and a brand-new Mickey D's would be constructed in its place. While I agree that it's probably time for an update, there's something a little sad about it. We thought we'd snap a few pictures for posterity. These were taken the day before the demolition started.

The Slurreo

Almost every Sunday morning after church, we go to have coffee with friends at Great-Grandma and Aunt Kenni's house. And every time, Daddy makes this ridiculous concoction in a cup, which involves crushing several Oreos and drowning them in chocolate milk. Everyone kept asking, "When are you going to share some of that with Jack?" This was the day.
